Celebrating Our 9th Year of Empowering Women Cancer Survivors in Style ✨

We invite you to join us in celebrating these incredible Women Cancer Survivors as they take center stage in a powerful display of resilience, courage, grace, and strength — honoring their journeys of survivorship.

This year’s theme, “Still I Rise: A Cancer Survivor Fashion Experience,” honors the journey from initial diagnosis through fear, uncertainty, faith, determination, and healing—while transforming that experience into purpose, strength, and ultimately, thriving.

We invite you to the Columbus Academy Event Center for an unforgettable evening dedicated to celebrating our 2026 honorees—women who have bravely survived various forms of cancer.

Our featured “Still Models,” both women and men, will take the runway in tribute to these inspiring survivors, creating a moving experience of honor, hope, and empowerment. They represent Fashion for a Cause, each sharing their “why”—whether it is supporting women cancer survivors, honoring loved ones who have triumphed over cancer, or remembering those who are no longer with us.

Celebrate survivorship, sisterhood, and strength with us for an unforgettable fashion experience! ✨

Maria Durant

Maria Durant, a former anchor and news personality at ABC6/FOX28, where she served for 26 years, has been appointed the new Director of Public Information at the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.  Maria is a six-time Award-winning journalist. In addition, she has received numerous Associated Press Awards.

A graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Broadcast journalism and Political Science, little did Maria know she would someday become a news story herself.  In October 2006, Maria was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  Instead of hiding her diagnosis, Maria decided to share her story in hopes of helping others.

Maria is involved with several cancer organizations, and as a Filipino, she especially wants young Asian American Women to know that getting diagnosed with cancer can happen to them, but that early detection is critical.

Maria is also involved with many other community organizations such as the Asian Festival, the Columbus International Program, the National Kidney Foundation, and At The Table.

Maria is married.  The couple has a son named Donovan. He is a student at Boston College.

YOUR SUPPORT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

At The Table’s mission is to celebrate and support women who have overcome cancer, with a special focus on African American women. We are also dedicated to inspiring girls and young women to thrive, pursue their dreams, and reach their full potential. Through empowerment, education, and community, we strive to create a space where women can rise and flourish.

The funds raised at this event will support our health and outreach initiatives, including programs that empower women cancer survivors on their journey of survivorship. Additionally, we are committed to providing education tailored to African American women, recognizing that cancer impacts different communities in unique ways.

Support also goes toward the Deniece Pittman Scholarship, which assists girls and young women affected by cancer. Your contribution—whether large or small—will help us expand our reach, save lives through early detection education, and ensure that every woman has the opportunity to thrive.

Early detection saves lives, and education is a powerful tool in the fight against cancer. Thank you for your support and for making a difference!
