Celebrating our 9th Year of Empowering Women Cancer Survivors in Style ✨👠
We invite you to join us in celebrating these incredible women cancer survivors as they take center stage in a powerful display of resilience, courage, grace, and strength — honoring their journeys of survivorship.
OUR WHY: Cancer Health Education - Prevention - Awareness - Resources!
This year’s theme, “Still I Rise: A Cancer Survivor Fashion Experience,” honors the journey from initial diagnosis through fear, uncertainty, faith, determination, and healing—while transforming that experience into purpose, strength, and ultimately, thriving.
We invite you to the Columbus Academy Event Center for an unforgettable evening dedicated to celebrating our 2026 honorees—women who have bravely survived various forms of cancer.
Our featured “Angel Models,” both women and men, will take the runway in tribute to these inspiring survivors, creating a moving experience of honor, hope, and empowerment. They represent Fashion With A Cause, each sharing their “why”—whether it is supporting women cancer survivors, honoring loved ones who have triumphed over cancer, or remembering those who are no longer with us. Celebrate survivorship, sisterhood, and strength with us for an unforgettable fashion experience! ✨

Maria is also involved with many other community organizations such as the Asian Festival, the Columbus International Program, the National Kidney Foundation, and At The Table.
Maria is married, and she and her husband are proud parents of their son. Her story continues to inspire many as she champions health, hope, and resilience.
Speaker Address & Medical Expert
Dr. Deepa Halaharvi, a breast surgeon, breast cancer survivor, and health advocate, is also the host of the podcast "Ask Doctor Deepa."

Dr. Deepa Halaharvi is a fellowship-trained, board-certified breast surgeon and breast cancer survivor. She graduated from Kansas City University in 2008 and went on to complete her General Surgery residency in 2013 at Doctor's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dedicated to being a life-long learner, Dr. Halaharvi continued to master her skills by focusing on breast surgical oncology through a Fellowship program in 2014. Only eight months after completing her fellowship Dr. Halaharvi learned first-hand what it feels like to hear that words "You have breast cancer." Despite the different forms of crises, setbacks, and illness, Dr. Halaharvi realized she had the courage and resiliency to keep going using her voice and experience to help her patients. Now having seen both sides, as a breast cancer surgeon and breast cancer patient, Dr. Halaharvi has gained unique insight and perspective into what it is like to face breast cancer. She has since started The Breast Cancer Podcast, a YouTube channel, and social media outlets to help educate others about body-awareness and managing a breast cancer diagnosis. Dr. Halaharvi continues to challenge herself and others in learning new skills in order to achieve better outcomes and improve the patient experience.
